How do we get to know candidates? Who are you?
What’s the process?
Are the qualities different for state and federal level candidates?
What qualities matter most to you in a political candidate, and which of those values do you think would resonate with those opposite on the political spectrum?
What qualities are you prepared to overlook in a candidate that you/your party supports?
Give us three qualities that are really important to you.
Are you less interested in qualities than in a candidates’ ideology/ideological stance and their vision for the governance role they’re seeking?
Do we want to be convinced that candidates understand what the role requires them to do? How do they plan to function in the role as it exists? Are they talking about structural changes and do you want candidates that are looking to make structural changes?
How do we create accountability to constituents once a candidate is elected?
What expectations do you have for candidates?
Do you think that your political leanings shade what you’re looking for?
How do you decide who to vote for?
